so I have tomorrow off, and it's going to be hot and humid and stormy again, which seems like the perfect day to go to a movie! I have yet to see either Iron Man 3 or Star Trek, and I'm dying to see both, but I can't decide which should take priority ( Read more... )

Yes yes please post book recs! I got ten new books ( all free but still) and only one of them didn't suck.

I've read a couple lately that weren't terrible, but they weren't great either. Pleasant enough to waste a couple hours, but nothing I'd rec enthusiastically. You need to start publishing already, Sylvie.

The one that wasn't terrible was Tigers and Devils by Sean Kennedy

There's a series I'm reading called Psycop by JC Price that is quite good. I really like the world she created and the writing is good but I frequently want to strangle both MCs though. It's still gripping enough to keep me hooked.

And if you haven't read Josh Lanyon yet, then drop everything and do it now. NOW. I like all his books but the Adrien English series is my favorite.

And I just picked up Into this River I Drown. Holy crap. It takes some getting used to at first because it's so different from other m/m novels but god, if it continues like this, it's going on my favorites list.

oooh I've had that one on my wishlist for a while, I'm glad to hear it's good! I just haven't been in the mood for something dark, but I've got nothing else to read right now.

I have a whole bunch of books that I paid for but lost interest in partway through. I feel like I should finish them just because I paid good money for them, but eeeeeeeh. It's frustrating, because the sample excerpts always seem so promising, but then once I buy them they seem to go downhill fast.

(I tried Andrien English but I couldn't get into it, I just didn't like the mc. but maybe I'll try something else of his)
