Now I'm commuting on the train I'm reading lots more books than I have during the last four and half years.  I'm going to use this sticky post to record all the books I read and where I sourced them

• Went to the Hampton Court Jazz and Beer Festival with my sister, her husband and their friends.  Drank lots of cider and watched their friends dance on stage with the Preservation Hall Jazz Kings.
• Attended my first ever baby shower.  My friend made the most amazing nappy cake which would've cost a fortune if we'd ordered it from somewhere.

I was offline for a couple of days last week while I painted my ceiling.  When I returned to cyberspace I had a message on Facebook from one of my uni housemates inviting me to her wedding on 30th May.  It was a bit of a suprise as I wasn't aware she was on Facebook!  It is also pretty short notice.  I received a text message from her last year ( Read more... )

The original Sweet Valley High books are being re-printed. I spotted one in ASDA today.  I'm not sure about the new covers but I guess the original 1980s versions do look a bit 'Mills and Boon'.
