SMB @ Elbo Room - 12/3/07
Yesterday SMB's Holiday Hate Tour came to Chicago. REAL Chicago, too!! None of that Dekalb shit. It was 21+ But I got in using my awesome ID thanks to Nicole Endy. Love you, girl.
Lots of people came out of the woodworks for this show, people that didn't even cross my mind that they would be going like Rob Kleiner, Aaron Hoyne(?), Anthony King, Sarah Starr, lots of people I hadn't seen in ages.
I managed to get pretty hammered only on $5. I bought myself a beer to start, which reminds me of something funny I just put together in my head. Last night John offered to buy me a drink, and I said "Why? I can buy my own" for some stupid reason I thought he was offering to take my money and get one for me, not actually PAY for it.
Then later on I asked Anthony how much his beer was, and he said "$2, want me to buy you one?" and I said "uhh...YES." and hes like "okay give me $2 then." WTF? ahahaha
This was the first time I've seen SMB's new van. I was kind of very drunk, but it didn't look as fun as the old one. And if you're wondering how Dee and I managed to be in the same van without stabbing each other's throats, we are getting along surprisingly well recently! I hope this continues, I really hate confrontation and not getting along with people, especially if we're in the same circle of friends. And eeeespecially now that we both live in Chicago. So far so good!
SMB and Aaron stayed at my place, we watched the Futurama movie and smoked until it froze then everyone passed out almost immediately afterwards. I'm pretty sure it was like 5am by that time anyway. Or it sure felt like it.
The show was awesome. SMB's new songs are great, I can't wait for the album.
