It seems to me that no matter how hard one tries, mistakes are inevitable.
Lately I'm learning to stop trying to give advice unless it's solicited. As hard as this may be, it's for the best. Sometimes, however, it's really hard to sit back and watch someone make the same mistake you made last year, or to watch someone hurt themselves so badly.
As much as I want to give support to the person in need, the person making mistakes, it's so hard to do so without offering advice... Especially when I know where the road they're on leads to. I know that everyone eventually learns, and I know that I myself have A LOT to learn yet, but I just hate watching someone hurt themselves so badly.
So (!) the only advice I will offer to you is this:
Be mindful in everything that you do. Understand the causes and the consequences of your actions.
