Monday, January 26th
umm...what happened...we went to Warner Brothers studio and it was really fun. our guide said that Gilmore Girls was taping...but then when we got there they had just breaked for lunch. i got some souvineres from that and it was fun. then we went to this japanese restaurant and the service was bad so my grandfather had to complain to every single person who would listen to him...it was brutal...and the service really wasn't that bad...
Tuesday Jauary 27th
we went to the getty museum. it was really cool, except they didn't have any modern or contempary art...it was all old shit. then we went to the gift shop which was cool. i got a book, some post cards and a little mini colored pencil kit. then we went to rodeo drive, and i got my nails done by this lady who did britney spears' nails for the pepsi comercials and nicole kidman. then we shopped around and i wanted to get some chanel earrings, but they would have been too expensive. we went to this italian restaurant for dinner...it was okay. the waiter was kind of cool...then i went to CVS and that was about it...
Wednesday January 28th
Went down to the o.c. first went to Manhattan Beach, where they film the o.c. i wanted to go to the lifeguard station that marissa always cried at, but there were like, 40 lifeguard stations and they all looked the same. then we went to Laguna Beach and looked around. the houses were pretty darn big. we ate lunch at this restaurant called Las Brasas or something..it was pretty good...it had a really nice view. then we went to Newport and the houses were way better than in Laguna. we went to Fashion Islannd, which is a indoor/outdoor mall that i think they went to on the o.c. i bought a juicy coture bag and it's really awesome. then we drove back to the hotel and ordered room service..i got a greek salad, and it was good. i watched beauty and the geek and it was awesome.
Thursday January 29th
got up early, went downstairs. in the elevator i was with Thom Filicia from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. i think he's staying here. maybe all of the queer guys are here! that would be hot. i got some eggs benedict and it was good. then we drove to the LACMA and it wasn't open yet so we waited at the tar pits next door. my grandma decided to have a "conversation" with me about how i'm not being greatful and i'm just being rude after my grandfather has spent thousands of dollars on me and she "left the hospital for me so we could go on this trip"......well, let's just say that didn't make me feel any better about being here right now. then we went into the museum and the exhibition they had was good but the rest of the museum sucked. then we went to the Chateau Marmont to go have lunch, but they didn't have any parking left. my grandpa took that as "oh, they don't want us eating in their restaurant" and decided to get all huffed up. then we went to this old train that was a hot dog hamburger place and i had a tastey hot dog. during lunch my grandpa informed me that we are going to pasedina tomorrow to go to another fucking museum that i have no interest in and i said well, maybe i'll just hang out at the hotel and my grandma decided to add in her little "well, we're spending thousands of dollars on this trip and on you and you could just hang out at home but do the things that you couldn't do at home while we're here" and i just wanted to give her a big FUCK YOU. but i refrained. as we were walking back we saw this news van and we struck up a conversation with the news caster and i guess they were doing a story about some cartoon network advertizing that sent boston into a tizzy...it sounded funny. then we went over to melrose avenue and i started walking and this was my retail therepy, except i was expected to therepu myself with the 30 dollars i still had....so i went to Urban Outfitters and wanted to get this really cute wallet and some earrings and a necklace and a wallet for leila, but instead i went to get the wallet for leila and the earrings, but it turned out i didn't have enough for the earrings so i only got the present for leila....then we came over to little santamonica blvd. and went to sprinkles. i got some cupcakes, but no celebrities were there.
