hence my comments a long time ago about superheros, that's the same type of thing, and everyone feels like that at some point, even brad pitt has to say to himself at one point "god i wish i was more like (fill in the blank)"

who hasn't had moments when he thought, "gee I'd be cooler if I were more like bob saget (or whatever celebrity is hot with the ladies at the moment)" I realized a long time ago that as soon as I would become like brad pitt, the social rules of attractiveness would change to something much different than me, and I would be one brad pitt in a world of women in love with steve urkel. can't trust women, they're fickle. just gotta make yourself better on your own terms, homie.

i was merely saying i wish my brad pitt side came out more often.
i'm not entirely unhappy being me, i just wish i could do more of the things i imagine i could do.

but i really appreciate the fact that both of you even took the time to reply. i'm glad i have people that care enough to read my ramblings.

But you have to remember that "tyler" was holding back "jack" and he eventually got rid of him realizing that he was all of those things and didn't need someone else to be them for him. It's all about the end of the movie; watch it again and come to terms with the message: HE DIDN'T NEED TYLER!
