So I've been working on this Evie story today, and I'm really having a lot of fun with it. I like the somewhat terrible element of writing about a girl that loves a boy more than he probably loves her. I think I've decided to set it a year after Johnny and Dally's death, which makes Evie and Steve seniors, Two-Bit a junior again (mostly because he couldn't pull himself together after Dallas and Johnny died), and Ponyboy a sophomore.
I think I'd like to have Darry dating a girl in this as some sort of a subplot, just to give him his own life and show that things have changed a lot in the past year. Soda's dating again too, but very casually. Or I might make him starting to fall for another girl, and have him have to deal with being afraid of getting hurt again. Two-Bit is a completely different person, but I'm going to explore that more later. And Ponyboy is a little tougher and rougher, but still somewhat vulnerable.
Things are either going to get a lot easier to write now, or a lot harder, what with all the drama going on in my life. I'm not really sure which. I think harder though, unfortunately. I don't know, I'll just have to see how things go.

It's really nice to hear when you're being held by a special someone, with a chilly breeze around and the band playing live. It was a pretty amazing night, I'm not gonna lie.
