I'm not going to say that being made to like someone you hate is the worst thing in the world, but it kinda takes all the meaning out of it if you don't choose to make that change on your own. Hope it gave some of you the chance to see and appreciate how things could be different, though. I'd say it's one of the more admirable things about this place. It's one thing for people to tell you "Before you judge someone, walk a mile in their shoes." You never realize how hard it is to actually do that. (And in all practical senses, why would they let you? Then you'd be a mile away, safe from reprisal, and they would be barefoot.)
So kudos to this place for mixing it up a bit, though I think it would have been more effective if both parties in most cases were under the same influence. It's hard to appreciate how different things could be with your enemy when one is eager to find out while the other is wondering with trepidation why his least favorite person is humping his leg. That kinda shit's suspicious.
