Know the face of your enemy!
This is my Roomba. Hunter named her Coco. She is a good little vacuumer and has provided untold entertainment to the cats. One of her design features is that once she's done cleaning, or when her battery runs low, she will return to her charging dock on her own. Coco never managed this feat. She would go and go till she had no charge left, and then power down in some corner, beeping plaintively at me, begging me to help her home.
Because of a craft project I was working on, I found myself with an extra pair of large googley eyes. I looked at my Coco, and decided that I'd found the perfect spot for them. A few minutes and a bit of hot glue later, my Roomba had a cute little face. A couple of days later, I ran her through a cleaning cycle. A few hours later I realized that she was no longer running, but she wasn't beeping either. I walked into the kitchen, and low and behold Coco was in her dock. Even weirder, she has found her dock every single time since then as well.
I am now torn between thinking of her as a cute little helper and the tool of my future destruction.
