Poormans poll
I've not bothered to renew my LJ paid membership, so it's back to the poormans poll again!
I've been pretty depressed recently about the government's random enthusiusm for banning things and forcing ID's on us, on one hand, and making 24hour boozing legal on the other.
The law suggests that although you can have left home, be fully employed and be married and have children AT SIXTEEN, yet you are not considered mature enought to buy alchol or buy a set of carvery knives.
I am also distrught over the new concept of 'go abroad, drink myself even stupider, and verbally and physically abuse the locals'.
We must be the laughing stock of Europe.
So,
MY QUESTIONS:
1) Is anyone still proud to be British?
2) Do you think that Europe IS laughing at us?
