So I came home today and the first words out of my dad's mouth?
"Oh look, it's the prodigal child."
Apparently this is what I've become. I guess that's cool and all considering I'm never home and that's what he meant by it and I'm always out wasting my money but hey, whatever. At least I'm having fun.
On a better note, I've had the best two days of summer. They were two ideal summer days. Yesterday, I was "sleeping over Alice's" and we did end up doing that...but at 3:30 in the morning. So Ney and I went to this crazy party where there was about 30 or 40 people and it was madness let me tell you. I didn't drink because of my whole vow thing and because I had to drive, but I was proud of myself and didn't regret not drinking this morning. It just gave me the feeling of what college is going to be like...so much fucking freedom and I loved every second of it. And you know what, there's so many worse things I could have done, but I didn't. Even though I did use about a half a tank of gas for driving around the whole night, it was worth it.
I eventually passed out in Katy's bed and woke up this morning and went to church with Ney. Then we decided to go back to her house and then we were tanning and got bored so we went for a walk to George's Island. It was awesome just sitting on the bench talking...we have some of the best conversations ever. Then we were lying out on the dock and we have this new obsession with jet skis so we asked this guy if we could go for a ride but he had to go get the life jackets. So we waited but eventually we had to go, so we left but just the fact that we almost went was amazing. This has been the most gorgeous day of summer and we definitely lived it to the fullest.
And Al thanks for letting us sleep over because that night wouldn't have been possible without you.
Even though the weather is beautiful...there's still something missing. And it'll be a few days until I have it again. You really don't realize how good you have it until it's gone.
