But my current project is abolishing my universities football team:
"Of the over fourteen-thousand college level football programs, only twenty one turn a profit for their schools. CMU's is not one of these twenty one.

In fact, CMU's football team is struggling just to stay in the MAC. Is this really a worthwhile goal to struggle for? Does anyone care about MAC teams that didn't go to a MAC school themselves? No, the only college conferences that get watched outside of this relatively small population are conferences like the Big Ten.

So what does CMU's football team actually do? For starters, the players suck up a lot of scholarship money that could be going to lower the tuition rates of all the other students here at CMU. Hell, the school just gave away about $8k worth of tuition hours and books just for showing up in CMU-spirit colors all the while whining about how poor they are and how they need, not want but need, to raise the tuition rates for all students.

And on top of that, the team just sucks.

The solution to CMU's money problems is clear: abolish the football team."

The most legitimate argument I've yet to hear against it is "you know you're not going to be able to actually get rid of the football team, right?". Yes! Obviously I already know this. Does that, in itself, make my argument any less valid? Hell no.

Feedback?
