You seem to fail to realize that language is used to communicate ideas in and about our world. Our world is not static. Ergo, definitions are not going to remain static.

I find it difficult to believe you would say that after your refusing to understand how the underlying meaning of The Constitution could and should change so drastically over a period of only 200 years.

Don't forget that when words change, 99% of the time it's idiots changing them. Smart folks were the ones who came up with them to begin with.

In her example of "literally", yes, this is true. The expanded definition of "troll", however, is a matter of contemporary communication (and typically applied to idiots rather than the definition being invented by them).
