I have to gush about the upcoming awesomeness of this quarter. Last quarter was a bummer because I wasn't able to take any anthro classes. But this quarter all three of my classes are anthro. I'm taking linguistics with a professor who sounds awesome. His focus is hip hop culture and language and one of the books he assigned is his own, titled "Roc the Mic Right: The Language of Hip Hop Culture." =D I'm also taking a Mesoamerican Civilization class that should be very interesting. But the class I'm most looking forward to is Documentary Photography. Not only is it anthro and photography combined, but our final project has to include 10 pictures taken during the quarter as a fieldwork study. This sounds so cool!! I can't wait to get started. I'm already thinking of possible situations. Right now I'm thinking of photographing the grooms that work at the equestrian center. Or the buzz of a horse show. Or the people in the SMC band. I'm so excited about this project!! =D
