Hey everyone.
Well, I'm back from the Bands of America Regionals Tournament in Las Vegas. We placed 9th in finals and I'm not happy or sad about it. The judging was way harsh, but hey what you gonna do? The band and pageantry are getting better and better. This weekend was pretty fun. Friday I went to school with all my luggage and we just pretty much hada free day. 4th period I talked to Leslee more that usual and it was good getting to know her better. We left 5th period at around 12:30 and that was the beginning of the bus ride... It was pretty good, relaxing, not too loud. It took us like 7-8 hours to get to Las Vegas becuase there was a lot of traffic. When we got there we went to In-N-Out and then go to Embassy Suites. Ian, Robert, James and I all shared a room, and that room was the same one Ian and I stayed in during our freshman year at Vegas. How weird. Ian and Robert had the two beds (bitches) and James and I shared the pull-out bed. Embassy Suites is ghetto though... (to an extent) something has to be broken in each room, for us it was the lock for the bathroom door and the TV was being weird. I brought my PS2 and we played games and just hung out that night.
Saturday morning we all got up early, got breakfast and headed out to the UNLV stadium. We performed at 11:15 and afterwards, we were free to go to the Strip. I was freaking out though because I couldn;t find my sandals and it came to be that James took them on accident. It's all good though, no harm done. Ian and I met up with like 14 other people (omg it was ludicrous). We went and ate at some expensive ass buffet and I only ate one plate of salad and some desert. It... sucked... sorry. After we ate, Ian wanted to split up 6 and 6 so it wouldn't be so crowded... that turned out to be more funny than disappointing in the end, but at first I was pissed that happened. But it was fun. I met Desiree's mom too, she seems really nice. Speaking of poeple's parents, it seems weird to me that everybody's parents know who I am... even those people whom I don't know at all. Just a thought. Anyways... at the strip... oh yeah, it was fun overall. I bought James this $30 magic trick thingy because he was sad that he couldn't go to the strip. One of my things I don't like in life is to see my friends (especially close ones) sad. I hate it, so I try and cheer 'em up. We get back on the buses and found out we made finals and everyone was happy as can be, it was such an awesome feeling. Taylor called my cellphone and told me we made finals so Ian announced it to the bus. :) :) :). So we performed that night and it was incredible for me. I did my personal best ever that night. I've never cried becuase of a show.... In the end we placed 9th overall which is ok. I'm not mad or anything, just have a neutral feeling. So that night was weird in the hotel room which I will not get into, so I'll just skip to today...
So, today, we just had a slow paced morning... We packed all of our stuff and cleaned the rooms up so the maids wouldn't work as hard (I guess). The bus ride back was good too. We stopped in Barstow and ate In-N-Out and went to the outlets right next door. After that, the bus drivers decided to go take the scenic route home and I seriousy thought we were near Northern California... Now I'm home... I may have skipped over a few certain parts of the trip cuz I'm too lazy... Anyway's everybody take care and leave comments and share your thoughts.
