Life update yay.

Birthday was totally awesome.
  • Saturday was spent: having weird abbreviated versions of the birthday song sung at me at work; boot shopping with Mom and Mike (so far unsuccessful); dinner with Dad, Isabelle, and Arabella. Actual dinner was chinese delivery, but I wasn't really hungry anyways, so that just saved more room for CAKE. (Dad bought me half a chocolate cake. He thought he was being practical. Isabelle was so offended - she likened half a birthday cake to only half loving someone. The look on my Dad's face was hilarious.) And then we forced him to sit through Made of Honour. We rewound the movie at every possible opportunity. Just cause it was funny. Presents: a european electrical adapter (handed to me by my ever-adorable sister), a Lonely Planet guidebook, and the promise of a pack for this spring.
  • Sunday: met Judy, Melissa and Cass at Bon's Off Broadway for super cheap, super gross diner food (but it was only $3 each!). Judy attempted to return a shirt lent to her like 5 months ago ... but she brought the wrong one. Ha. Cass gave me THE most adorable Eeyore stuffie EVER, and Melissa offered to pay for my breakfast. So generous, that one. =) Went to Oakridge to see Chrissy, who was working. Scored free pumpkin spice latte. Oh, it was good. Then, downtown to meet Sandra, where we found her the perfect winter jacket, and she bought me THE most awesome PIRATE SHOELACES. Then, dinner at some small but apparently long-lived Mexican place off Granville (edit: Primo's Mexican Grill). Had some crab burrito type thing that was super yummy. Also had sangria, which is funny, because this was my 18th birthday. Wut.
  • Tuesday: planned to meet a whole bunch of people at FCRCC and paddle, then back to Laurel's house to do ... something. What actually happened what that it poured like a mofo all day, so I met Yochan, Yunie, Collyn and Gary at the community centre, we went to the market and bought a loaf of cinnamon bread (so good ...) and a blueberry pie (oh so appropriate =]). Went back to Laurel's house and watched my presents =). Which were: P.S. I Love You, Devil Wears Prada, Chuck Season 1 (THERE WAS SO MUCH LOVE SLATHERED ON COLLYN FOR THIS), Pushing Daisies Season 1 (so much belated love slathered on Collyn, once I watched it and discovered how much love it deserved), and some strange High School Musical thing. Which I thought was a joke. But apparently not so much. (I'm afraid to take it out of the plastic. Will I get, like, pre-teen-girl radiation from touching it? Is it even safe to have it on my coffee table??)
In other news ...
  • I left my upass on my first bus last Monday, discovered that while waiting to get on my second bus. Had random freakout complete with incomprehensible phone message to my mom and literal tears. Next day my period started. Which totally explained why I spent like an hour walking the rest of the way home on Monday, crying the whole way.
  • Going to Puerto Vallarta for a week after my (one) exam. Cannot wait.
  • I've stopped watching Heroes. I can't take it anymore. It's kind of sad, really.

rl yay
