I don't know if I mentioned that Calvin called me last night before I got in. He was on line today, we talked for a bit on line, and he called me again. I asked if there was something wrong, why he called me. He said he just wanted to talk to someone. Weird, huh? Kind of nice to talk to him, he made me laugh again. He said that talking to me made his day so much better. That's a confidence boost, I guess.
I'm trying to decide if I should just skip the Fall Semester all together. First I said, three classes. Then I said four. Then I said one. Now I'm thinking wait until winter. But I absolutely loved school last semester. It meant so much to me to be able to go, and to do well at it. I just really need to think about it.
I probably should go to bed. I have to be to work at nine, and I want to be actually awake when I get there. I'm so glad that my mom said she's bring me. Otherwise I'd have to leave about an hour or more earlier than I'd leave if I got a ride. I'll have to wait awhile after work for the bus, but that doesn't bother me. I'll just sit in the break room and read. Or, if the game is still on, I'll listen to the game.
Ooh speaking of "the game", I found out that one of my co-workers (Fred) is a Red Sox fan. I love it. lol He's probably about my father's age, maybe a little older. I heard him talking about the Red Sox, so I go over and ask him about it. He said he grew up a Yankee fan, but switched to the Sox after Steinbrenner took over. (Well he gave up watching baseball for awhile, then started liking the Mets, and then liked the Sox b/c of the rivalry.) But I love the fact that I'm working with a Red Sox fan, it gives me something to argue--I mean talk--about with him. lol
On my break, I caught the top of the ninth on the radio. Woohoo!!! Yankees win. I came back and told Fred that the Yankees won. About a half an hour later, this guy comes into my line wearing a Red Sox jersey. I decide to be nice. But Fred sees my customer and says, "Why don't you tell him that the Yankees won? Maybe he'll care." I laughed and told my customer, "Yeah, the Yankees won; 6-0. That's 11 games now." (It might be back to 10 1/2 if the Sox won tonight, last I heard they were winning.) They started saying wait until the fall, and blah, blah, blah. I bit my tongue, I didn't want to tell them what I was thinking. That come Fall, Yankees will be playing; and the Sox...well who knows?
I really do like my job. Maybe I'm still in the "honeymoon" period there. lol But, who knows? I guess I'll have to see.
Ooh, Calvin just signed on line. lol He's talking to me. He still loves me. lol
