(no subject)
So.... an update!
Umm, nothing much going on really. I've been pretty busy. Working a lot, lot of school, etc. Friday after my classes I interviewed Erica on all her degrees in psychology. She's crazy. I can't believe she has so many. But she does, and that's wonderful. We had fun with that... lot of serious talk, lot of not so serious talk. Lots of things I shouldn't write here, haha. Anyways... Got to see Bianca a little more, got to see Arianna... who was napping most of the time, and then was mostly interested in counting and riding her bike around the kitchen.... and then when Erica and I started talking she wanted my attention, haha
So, left Erica's and listened to my voicemail from Justin... he invited me to go for a bike ride with him, so I accepted. It was nice, we went down to the canal again went towards Easton. Not as scenic as going the other direction, but it was really nice. Afterwards showered and went down to Don Pablos for Paul's congrats dinner. It was nice. I was kinda quiet though because I was pretty tired and not sitting near people I really knew. Oh well, made friends with some guy whose name I forget. He was slightly amusing, and slightly ignorant. So... got my car at Justins' house and went home, only to meet Amber ready to go out to see Craig. She invited me, but I didn't want to intrude on her fun with her best friend. At any rate, she convinced me to go, and I'm really glad I did. It was great to see Craig and Kyle, and it was nice to meet Craigs' boyfriend. I can't remember his first name, but I do remember his last name! That's gotta count for something! So... we played Uno Attack... and I sucked hard core. But it was okay, we had fun and laughed a lot... Just the way I like it. I felt bad for Kyle who got stuck near my big butt for all the pictures. He didn't seem to mind though. I'm thinking my hips made a great resting place for his arm... it kept his wine glass close to his mouth. Heh. So, yeah, didn't get home from that until 2-ish, and I was way past exhausted. I felt bad for Amber because I was so sleepy and she doesn't get to see her best friend a lot, and I know that when I get to see my best friends I want to spend a lot of time with them... and I was half asleep on Craig's futon.
So yeah, I love my roommate and her friends! Saturday I slept in a lot, then went to work 1-10. We had a power outage and had to fold in the dark for a while. I continued to do my signage walk thing until my eyes hurt and I couldn't read the tags in the shops towards the back of the store. Anyways, after the power went back on everything was okay and we were out of there by 9:20. Got home, and found Amber and Kevin on the couch... As soon as I walked in Kevin demanded I go get ready because I was going to the bar. Which elicited a response of, "Uhh, right" from me. But low and behold... between the two of them they got me into one of Ambers' "going out" shirts and a decent pair of jeans and out the door. To my suprise, I actually got into the bar and *gasp* had a good time! Met Allison's friend Shaun, and hung out with work people plus Jessie and Ashley. I was super embarassed when Allison asked me to show them my tattoo and my gut was staring a table of 4 guys in the face. I apologized, but they didn't seem to mind, so it was okay. Later in the night some guy actually approached me and started talking to me. Suprisingly, we had a really good conversation. He graduated with a psychology degree from Moravian College and played basketball there. He works at Kidspeace which is a place for kids who can't be in a home environment. Also... he's going to start at Hunterdon Developmental Center. He told me his title there, but I forgot... at any rate, I guess he's making behavioral modification plans for kids with MR... which is SUPER cool and right up my alley. Anyways, enjoyed conversation, he asked for my number.. so I gave it to him. Gotta respect someone that can have a good, decent conversation at a bar. But as Amber says, I have to learn to walk away from people I'm not interested in, rather than talking to them all night and giving them my number when asked.. even if I don't want anything with that person. Eh. So yeah. But I think he'll be fun to talk to about all that abnormal psychology stuff that I'm interested in. But that's it, really.
Today? It was lazy as well. Amber made breakfast, Kevin left, and she and I hung out in our jammies all day watching Clueless and 50 First Dates while I wrote papers and studied. I was going to go to my parents house, but that didn't happen. Now I'm going to go shower and get ready then go to Justin's because he's being super nice and going to change my oil!
