I need to update on a more regular basis

Let's see here, yesterday after work i drove up to portland.  this morning my uncle and i went on our traditional birthday trip.  ever since i can remember my uncle has taken my brothers and i out shopping with him as our birthday present.  it's a great tradition and we all love it.  generally it includes lunch, some activity like a movie, and then a trip to the store of our choice to go shopping.  today, we went to SyKart indoor racing.  it's an indoor gokart track in tigard.  oohh man it was soo awesome.  they're pretty short races (10 minutes each) but they don't feel that short.  after that we went and ate bbq at a place called Reo's Ribs out on TV highway.  i don't think i would go back there again, it was pretty mediocre.  after that we headed downtown and walked along the river esplanade, it runs along the willamette river just north of OMSI, i think we got about an hour of walking, it was good.  and of course, no birthday trip is complete without a stop at Papa Hydans on NW 23rd.  i choose the white chocolate mint moose thing.

last thursday was dan's birthday, so after consuming a piece of an enormous 4 layer chocolate and vanilla cake, we walked over to Lucky's and played pool/drank some beer/listened to some garage band that had maybe 5 guys interested in listening to them.  and if they were fans of the group, oh man, they were some ugly groupies, i wouldn't want to be at their after party.  (i'm not saying that any of the women at the bar were ugly, since these "groupies" were guys).

Tuesday was Lindsey's birthday (just a b-day filled week).  and we got her to go out to The Wetlands monday night at midnight.  it was kind of weird, the cook was standing at the bar when we walked in and he said that we should all get our Id's out because "the bartender would want them" and then when she got ready to serve us she didn't even question our legality.  even when i said that it was lindsey's 21st birthday she didn't ask to check.  so i suppose it's a good thing that we weren't part of an OLLC bust.  cause they would have failed.
