I've been on a Xenosaga binge for the past two days. I didn't plan it, but yesterday I picked up out of boredom and actually managed to win this major battle that I never thought I'd get past. Turned out it was just a matter of gaining a few more levels, and repairing my AGWS's before going into the fray. What followed was one of the coolest sequences so far in the game, and I have a save file just before it so I can watch it over and over again! And after that I just couldn't stop playing, except to sleep a tiny bit, and go to school. As with Xenogears, if you just give it a chance it just keeps getting better and better. But since it's only about half as long as Xenogears you don't need to wait as long for it to get really good. Earlier today I got KOS-MOS's X-Buster which has to be one of the coolest attacks in RPG history as it actually uses FMV in the sequence (but it's quick enough that it doesn't get annoying after doing it a million times). KOS-MOS keeps getting a more and more complex place in the story. She's a lot like Welltall in that she has several "black boxes" Jr. also seems to have a complex history behind him that's slowly coming out. Still, the strongest person in my party is probably chaos. I have an item equipped on him that lets him do two deathblows in a turn, provided that he has enough AP...and he can do some really powerful deathblow combos thanks to that. chaos is the most mysterious character of all. While he too probably has a complex background, not a bit about him has come out yet. I still haven't seen Shion's brother who looks like Citan since the very beginning of the game. I wanna see the fight between him and Margulis, and also find out his name. The email system is really realistic too. I got spam today! It was a spam from Namco advertising Ace Combat 4. Oh, and there was one scene that was just pure fanservice.
