Okay, taking a deep breath, then...

I have to be honest, I'm doing this mostly because Kara Gnome chided me about not doing much writing in my blog. The thing is, she's right. It's a good exercise, lets me do some constant writing, and in general there is no good reason why I shouldn't be writing in here more. Actually, there is one pretty good reason--I don't think I have a lot to write about. Still, Kara gave me some encouragement. "Just write about what's happened to you today," she said.

So let's start out with a post that may be proven wrong later on the more I do this. We'll call it "Why I Don't Think My Life is Exciting."

Essentially, it has to do with having a regular job. The fact that I have a regular job cuts about eight hours out of my day, because one hard and fast rule I follow online is that I don't give out any information about my job online. In part, this is because I don't want to divulge any proprietary information. Mostly, it is because I don't want to say anything that will get me fired. Anyone remotely 'Net savvy will tell you at least one horror story of some poor sap who talked about how awful his or her job was on a blog or social media, and in their reply they get a message from their boss informing them that they don't have to bother coming into work the next day. I would prefer NOT to have that happen, thank you very much. So unless something pretty extreme happens, I won't be writing what I did at work. I will say that I have a job as a copywriter, but that's as far as I go.

When I get home, I'm either exercising, reading or interacting with people online. Sometimes watching TV. Exercising is frigging boring--the only thing more boring than exercising is talking about it, although talking about how you've met your goals is definitely rewarding. I can also talk about the glacier-like progress I'm making on writing, which actually doesn't sound like a bad idea. I could do that. I could also talk about things like what I made for dinner, which is usually pretty good. It's kind of interesting, at least, and I do think I'm a good cook.

So we'll start there, and see what happens. Just watch--tomorrow should be exercise, come home, have dinner, relax and write for a bit. I'll let you know if that actually pans out.

daily life, writing, slice of life, boring
