Still hanging in there

I don't have too much to post about. I've still been feeling pretty sick. My medication works, but then I smell some gross food or I stare at my computer for too long and I feel like crap again. This Thursday is my 1st trimester screening. I thought that I wouldn't need John to come along because I really don't expect anything to be wrong and he's already seen the heartbeat, but as it got closer I changed my mind. Mostly because the baby will really look like a baby this time, not just a white fuzzy gummibear. There will be arms and legs and the baby can move now. It's the size of a lime. I think I'm actually getting bigger now. It's crazy to lose so much weight but then my clothes don't fit. I know the baby is still in my pelvis but I think everything else that used to be in my pelvis has been pushed up and out. I also see my doctor on Thursday and I think she might be able to tell me if the top of my uterus is out of my pelvis yet. Then I will really start to show! We'll also try to hear the heartbeat from the outside of my body. Exciting stuff! I need to get a list of questions ready for this appointment. At my last appointment I didn't have any questions ready and I could tell the nurse thought I was the only pregnant person in the world who didn't have questions. Mostly I have rhetorical questions: When will I feel better? When will I poop again? Why don't they tell you about these things before you get pregnant?
Here's some news: We got a new bed! We had John's old bed from college and let me tell you, it sucked! So we got a queen TempurPedic. It's awesome so far. My back still hurts but I think it's because of the baby. John's back is completely better. We finally just decided that I was only going to get bigger and more uncomfortable so we better do it now. We tried to look at other beds but TempurPedic was really the best. The new bed is too high for Porter though. We had to get her some doggy stairs so she could get up on her own. She likes to sit up there during the day and survey the neighborhood. Alright, this got long. I need to pay bills and head to bed. Later sk8ers!
