I guess one of the bad things that could happen to you while you're away on vacation is getting sick. Another one would be having your money stolen or getting your bags lost at baggage claim (and your purse just happened to be in one of those bags). Of course, I'm awesome so I kept my wallet with my carry-on luggage XP
