White Tiger Thoughts....
So i have been reading the White Tiger comic and ive noticed something. I am very sensitive to latinos portayed in comics. For one lately it seems like any hispanic superhero has to be a woman, im starting to suspect its because of the popularity of latin pop stars like Jennifer Lopez or Shakira (she did start her carrear in latin america). I think its all a sex factor that white guys can lust after a latin woman just like some guys lust after asian or afrian american women.
I also get offended that the only latino represented has to be mexican. White Tiger was the first puertorican superhero and now suddenly she is using mexican slang and investigating illegal alien documents?
I also hate that spanish curse words can be printed in a marvel comic because they "dont count" as real swear words. Puta and Puto are not said in casual conversation. I could never say cocksucker or motherfucker in a marvel comic unless its MAX.
Not to mention the fact that every latino has to speak like a stereotype saying words like "Madre De Dios!" "esse" or the worst is when a writer tries to use a rudementary spanish they remember from highschool so they butcher spanish by saying something retarted like "Uno Momento Batman".
Why cant a latino speak straight english without sprinkling every other word with slang or bad spanish? I myself speak fluent english and never mix my spanish and english together. And I was raised in Puerto Rico!! I know allot of people who do the same.
