HOUSE!!!
Move in started yesterday. I got my 1st box of kitchen stuff in there yesterday. First thing in the house was a new broom and a new loaf of bread (hey, some people have salt & sage as their superstition, I happen to have an old wive's tale. Deal). My ordeal of moving in will be over the course of a month and a half. Rey will be in there by mid-month since that's when his lease is up.
I HAVE A HOUSE!!!! It's so cool! Mom says that we get to take over family holidays/birthdays because Rey & I have the biggest place. Eh, fine, so long as someone helps with the food and making a ramp for my Uncle Kiki so that he can wheel into the house (no sitting outside the whole time for him. Not nice. :p)
I found a washer & dryer for about $400. S'not bad! They both are used, but for a combo that's only a few years old, it isn't bad. After work today I'm going to look for a fridge as well while putting in another box from my room.
You know, it is amazing A) how much crap you have and B) how much stuff you find in your room that probably shouldn't be in there. I found kitchen supplies, a curling iron, bathroom supplies (like, soap), and some... weird stuff. Personally, I'm surprised I fit as much crap as I did in my 9'x10' room. But it's getting packed - we've got a house!!
And now, I get free food too! New place has an apple & a lemon tree, and an aloe plant I should attempt to resurrect. So I get to figure out what the hell to do with all the stuff. This will be awesome! Then in the spring, there are planter boxes for me to futz with. Gardening, woo!!!
