FWIW, I'm non-alcohol and non-caffeinated, and I don't think I'm addicted to adrenaline. :)

Maybe meditation? Solitary time? Strategy/puzzle video games? Depends on with what I'm coping, I guess.

My body chemistry is touchy enough as it is, so most substance-based alterations are not for me.

hence the quotations on drug. Not all mind altering situations are substance-based hence the adrenaline addicts I know. :)

Somehow I missed this post until now. Hun, you are SO NOT an psychic vampire. I was married to one for 11 years; I know a bit about that. Or at least I've not see you doing that anywhere around me. I'm very sensitive to it and can pretty accurately tell when there is one around me. There is a big difference between soaking up the energy of the environment, the situation and the setting (which I know I do) and sucking up people's energy against their will.

You ARE vibrant and bubbly, nice for you to know you don't need alcohol to be like that.
