In an admirable whirl of efficiency and task-completion today, I finished up all the little errands while Bee was at work; returned the cable boxes, did some address changes, took the donation stuff to charity, dropped a few of my ex's things off at his mom's house (brr.. at least no one was there), and I did the final walkthrough with the apartment manager and turned in the keys. She was really really pleased with the cleaning job we did and the only thing they'll take from the security deposit is the fee for cleaning the blinds. I didn't call around to see who could clean the blinds for cheapest, because I did that with the carpet and saved us some dollars. I figured the apartment fee for the blinds was probably going to be cheaper and I didn't want a blind-cleaning company to bring a big ladder in to get to the window above the stairs and end up scratching the paint.
Paranoid.
Anyway, everything went really well with the walkthrough so we should get our remaining deposit in 2 or 3 weeks in the mail.
Our first Netflix movies came, and we enjoyed them, and returned them. They took a few days to get here though, so we might need to get the three-at-a-time plan in order to make it cost-efficient.
Furry haunches support a laptop well. I'm sitting here in a sphinx costume, which I will post pictures of later, along with a picture of the jack-o-lantern I carved at a friend's house. This has been a good halloween, even though the new house is still a mess and we've been super busy. I actually carved a pumpkin this year. It turned out great!
No trick-or-treaters again this year, so I'm glad I only got two little bags of Kit Kats and Reeses cups, which we like, and will eat even though we shouldn't.
I even got out the inflatable pumpkin cooler that I hadn't used since the halloween party at my first condo.
It's such a relief only to have one residence to worry about (I definitely would never want to be a landlord again). I can focus on this place now, and get it all nice and cozy.
"Do you lie a lot?"
"What do you consider a lot?"
"Enough for people to call you a liar."
"People call me a lot of things."
"Is one of them 'liar'?"

Yes, I know, I have many posts and emails to reply to, and I will soon, I promise. Energy level is too low at the moment to do more than free-flow post.
It's been great reading all of your stuff though. ^_^ <3
