I can't believe it's Monday already. UGH! The weekend went too fast. It's been a while since I posted much and since I had a busy weekend, I thought I'd post up the events.
Friday went pretty slow but I finally made it through. I went to the gym for a bit too. Got to see one guy I chat with once in a while. Nice and buff and handsome and friendly. VERY hot. He's never used the showers there that I've seen tho, sadly. At least he wears a tank top there though which shows off his arms. WOOF! Just relaxed at night and did up my deck for my Saturday Vs CCG session in case I made it.
Saturday I went and picked up a lady my mom used to work with at the airport since my mom couldn't make it. (She's just getting over pneumonia and had a bridal shower to go to too.) We had a nice chat on the way to her place. She's really nice and we've always gotten along great. I then headed over to The Brass Ring Thing (a local mini-ren faire, kinda lame but better than nothing... I really want to go to the one in Sterline, NY sometime.) and hung out there for about an hour/hour and a half. I got some pics and chatted with a couple SCA people. I had a good time but wasn't thinking about the sun and got some burn on top of my head. :( I stopped home to have something to eat before going to the game. I ended up getting 2nd place this week which was cool.
Sunday I got up and headed down to the Pride Parade after stopping to get batteries for my camera to make sure I had some good ones so the charge would stay strong for pictures. I checked out the booths at the end area and then worked my way to where I usually stand to take pictures, stopping to chat with friends along the way. I had a good spot and then a group of annoying black and hispanic kids all came over and spread along the open area between me and the area towards the start of the parade. At first, I could just ignore them but there was this one fat black girl with a cigar and this stupid plastic horn who was there. Once the parade started, every time I'd move out further to get some decent pictures, they'd move out further too and be waving their arms and be in the way. I don't know if they were doing it on purpose to be annoying or if they were just ignorant assholes, but I had to fight to get decent pics. After the parade ended, I went and hung out with the bears some. They ended up winning 1st place for the float again this year. (They've won the past few years other than last year when someone who has really nothing at all for a float won, probably for some political reasons. The Buffalo Bears are the only ones who really put a lot of work into their floats here.) The bears all headed off to a picnic they were having. Since I wasn't invited, I just headed home and had something to eat and relaxed until my regular CoH gaming group.
Luna (my cat) wasn't happy about me leaving for work this morning after being gone so much this weekend.
