Happy Thanksgiving
Hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving. (Well, at least those here in the US where we celebrate it.) Vacation is going pretty well. Thought I'd make a quick post before getting ready to head off to be big family gathering. (*groan*) Here's a quick rundown on some of my time off so far.
Well, have fun and more details as time goes on.
- Well, my two friends who made it down an I had a good time this weekend watching a few movies that they brought with them. (Poster Boy, Cars, and Employee of the Month) Then Sunday morning we went to a small local diner for breakfast. Good food.
- I've played a lot of EQ2 this week and have had fun leveling characters. It's nice being back in game.
- My company decided to date our paychecks for today even though we got them yesterday so we couldn't cash them til tomorrow. Good thing I don't need the money for Thanksgiving or Black Friday shopping. (I never go near the stores the day after Thanksgiving!)
- When I got home from getting my check, I found out my land line was out again. Thankfully, I have my cell phone if people need to get in touch with me. With all the problems I've had, it makes me wonder if a land line is worth the cost.
- Sine my mom isn't doing so great health-wise, we're going to my family's hotel (my cousin's run it since last year) for Thanksgiving. I could really do without the whole crowd there but there but the food will be plentiful and good. We won't be staying long though since we're going back to my mom's place for birthday cake. The one thing I asked my mom for was an ice cream cake for my birthday. I guess she's baking up a cherry pie too. YUM!
