I'm baaaaaack!

I made it home a little bit ago. My mother allready called while I was stopping to pick up dinner to find out where I was. I said "I told you I'd be home late." to which she replied "Well, I didn't think you mean this late!" Hello! It was only 8pm. We had a 7 hour trip, shopped for food, ran into traffic issues. What did she expect? UGH!

Those are great accomplishments. Having no regrets is a very important one. That was a philosophy I adopted a while ago.

And I can totally relate to wanting to slap the mother. On many occasions I wished to give her a good whack...

I let myself do what I wanted and tried not to let anything within my control stop me. :) And yeah, mothers are a pain, especially when they can't see you as an adult.

That's exactly it. My mom always does things or says things that imply she does not see me as completely grown up yet. It is all out of love, but can't she love less annoyingly???

If she loved us as much as they say, they'd respect us enough to treat us as adults. And this is a talk I need to have with my mother. Freaking out cuz I'm not home by 8? I'm not in high school.
