Things are a bit rough these days.
This morning I woke up with mom shouting to my ears, "Your dad fell in the bathroom."
Who wouldn't wake up upon hearing it?
This isn't the first time. Few days ago he also fell on terrace when he carried his grandchild. He fell hard. His head hit the floor but he didn't admit it. He got severe contusion (around 8 cm) on his right hip.
And this morning he fell again. He said he suddenly felt pain on his back, probably from previous accident, and he tried to get up but tripped. His body hit the bathroom door causing a quite loud sound. Mom got panicked.
We brought him to doctor. Thank God the doctor said there's nothing to worry about. No cracked bone, just severe contusion. He got medicine to relieve the pain. Since this morning all he does is lying on bed. And when I peeked, he looked in pain.
My dad isn't young anymore. That's why I told him sooo many times that he needs to be extra careful. Sometimes he drives carelessly which makes me and mom worry all the time.
Last year I told him to stop working. It's okay if he wants to quit because I can still cover the household expenses. But he keeps saying, "Is it really okay if I retire?" and still working to date. Besides, he worries if he'd have nothing to do at home if he retires.
Srsly. Dad, you can do a LOT of things. Like, traveling anywhere you want with mom. Visiting your grandchildren anytime you want.
I hope he gets better after taking the medicine.
