This must be a good year for Suzuki Nakaba. Not so long after Nanatsu no Taizai anime finished airing, the original manga won the 39th Kodansha Manga Awards. The announcement was out earlier today.
Nanatsu no Taizai was titled Best Shounen Manga along with Yowamushi Pedal.
I enjoyed watching Yowamushi Pedal anime despite of its slow plot development at some point. The first season was good while I barely could hold myself back from throwing stuffs to my monitor while watching the second season ^___^;
Umino Tsunami's Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu crowned as Best Shoujo Manga. The Best General Manga is given to Nihei Tsutomu's Sidonia no Kishi. Kodansha also opens Special Award category that goes to Ueyama Tochi's Cooking Papa that celebrates its 30th year of serialization this year. The series has 130 volumes in print so far.
