I can be so exasperating at times. Snowballing already-not-good situations into obnoxious ones.
This may sound naive and stupid to you, and in hindsight it definitely is, but at the Dollar Tree I keep my purse in a locker in the break room and I never lock it. In a year and a half I've had no reason to. Until yesterday, when one of my debit cards went missing. And a $50 purchase at Kohl's is now pending on my statement. I called my bank and they're being super awesome about taking care of everything for me. They canceled my card and they're sending me a new one and they're going to reverse the charge, so no real harm done.
Today I bought a combination lock. I wrote down the numbers and tore the sticker off the back that had the numbers on it. Just as I was being so proud of myself for handling all this so well and for being so responsible...
...I then spent my entire break not being able to open it.
My manager had to do it for me, and it turns out I had the numbers right, I was just turning them in the wrong direction. Gah!
little moments like that
