Day 8
Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they're not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.

I try. But then I see something better in a non-fanfic world to put them into, so the story dies. Sometimes I write a Mary Sue because I need that outlet. I think my favorite OC so far has been the child I was writing for Zoe and Wash. She was going to be amazing. Kinda an Inara-River combo, seeing as how she was raised by Inara without ever knowing who her parents were.

I like OCs. I like to see original creativity in a story. Fanfic is about manipulating a world to your own tastes, so I want to see something original! Don't put the main focus on an OC, but do enjoy inserting one, once in a while. I'll even read a Mary Sue for fun.

I cried again for hours at work, yesterday. I just can't shake this depression. I feel so sorry for A and B, who left for A's brother's funeral today. And I was so upset over what's going on with a customer, and the lies about my student loans. I'm happy I get two days off, for now.

I also got all of my books from L&J, so I own all but 4 World of Darkness RPG books. This makes me all kinds of giddy and happy.

And I had angry nightmares all night. One of them caused me to talk in my sleep, and Lion responded, in his sleep, and we woke up shouting at each other. Then I fell back asleep, and he stayed awake feeling miserable. That has never happened before, in my life, so I woke up with him this morning to make things right. We're okay again, but I really need this time off to get things back in order.

My second dream was about how Mike changed his phone number and never bothered to tell me. In the dream, I found out THE DAY before my wedding, and it just went from there in anger and hurt. So, I think I'm going to find some time to call Mike today.

Other than that--huzzah for days off!
