In the beginning of December, I moved out of my wife's home.
We are separated because the cats and dogs stopped fighting to try and figure out what was wrong with us. It was my idea to separate. She now agrees that I made the right decision. We are now friends.

To all friends who went to our wedding or bought us gifts, I am sorry if you feel let down. I am not getting back with her though. So there.

I lived with my mother for a month after that while searching for a place and saving money. I now remember why that is never fun. I appreciate her help immensely. I do NOT want to do that again.

I now live spitting distance from my work. I still drive my car though because I am just that kind of lazy.

Speaking of work and cars...

Work:
In late November a girl was being aggressive towards her peers. Staff on her unit sent her to her room. She went to the bathroom and committed suicide. Staff was only aware of her aggressive issues and not her suicidal ones. Staff did all they could to revive her with CPR and alerted 911 immediately. The internal camera system shows that the girl was not left alone for a full half hour and since she was not on any special care plan, 30 minutes is how often we are to check on them.
So now we are no longer getting any kids from CPS, only the juvenile court. Which means that we have about half the number of kids in the building compared to normal. Hours are being cut back and overtime is now gone. Any screw up is now a firing offense as they have too many staff. I need to work harder at staying awake overnight. Perhaps eat better. I know when my sugar levels get low I keel over. Diabetes sucks.

Car:
I sold my Buick while living with the wife. She gave me her Toyota and we purchased a truck for her. The Toyota is still in her family's name and stopped working. She is now stuck with the truck payments. I however had nothing at all. So I bought a friend's Saturn for his asking price of $600. It is a standard. So I have now learned to drive one. Yay me. The car has some thick oily substance that looks like a chocolate shake in the radiator. Occasionally it will vomit some of this substance out. It is also currently listed in my friend's ex-wife's name. Grrr... I may just drive it until it explodes, while I save up for a better car.
