Tanker Crash Shuts Down Interstate 74 in Champaign County
Part of Interstate-74 is still shut down near Champaign this afternoon, and crews are working to clean up a leaking tanker truck. Authorities say it's leaking 7900 gallons of ethanol.
Eastbound traffic is being re-routed at Prairieview Road to Route 150. Westbound traffic is detoured at I-57 to I-72. EPA has been notified. Authorities say they`re waiting on another vehicle to get the rest of the fuel out. The driver of the truck was hurt, but there's no word on his condition.
