We got hit with a wild storm last night. The trees were whipping around like crazy, there was near-constant lightning, the rain was intense, and the power cut out twice (but only briefly). A tree across the street got ripped up, and quite a bit of it was lying across the road, blocking it, until some guys with a forklift came along at midnightish (!) and pushed it onto the grass. THAT'S NOT SHRUBBERY The doves nesting precariously in a tree next to the house are, amazingly, just fine, although their sparrow neighbour seemed a bit worried; he kept stretching his neck out and peering at them:
