I went back and f-locked my previous entry, because, well, I think ranty Allie should stay f-locked whenever possible. :)
I'm reminding myself to take deep breaths, enjoy SHOWS and STORIES but stay away from fandoms as long as I feel so easily annoyed. And that may be awhile, unfortunately!
Frankly, the only fandom I am enjoying unequivocally right now is... Top Gear on Tumblr!! Yep, it's basically the only reason I visit tumblr. When I'm feeling down, I go there and save pictures of the TG guys being silly or cute. Mostly Richard and James, but occasionally all three guys. Tumblr requires no human interactions, it's just pictures, and Top Gear always manages to cheer me up somehow.
I must've saved hundreds of pictures of them since 'discovering' the show. I guess that says I've been down a lot in the last few months. Which is sort of true. But at least I have something that can almost always make me laugh.
Speaking of which, have you guys seen this? It's a TG Live in Amsterdam segment where they make more "electric vehicles" using things like an ironing board and washing machines. http://youtu.be/qp2e6VIPOI0?t=8m54s I like that they are willing to make themselves look idiotic to make other people laugh. And the washing machine is sort of priceless...
