Stanley got a promotion! And his new orders!
My SIL got promoted to HM3, and now he's going to be taking officer classes - recommended by his CO.
He got his new orders on Friday. He has to report to Camp Lejuene in N.C. on May 16th. He'll be attached to the Marine base, there. Which is common for Navy medics.
They're giving him an extra month in Bethesda because the baby's due on Feb 8th. So he'll work until March 31st in Bethesda, and then in late April they'll move to their new house on base. They've got reserved either a 2-bedroom bungalow or a 2-bedroom townhouse. At the moment, they're not sure which they'll have, though Kelly & Stanley would rather have the bungalow.
I'm glad they got what they wanted. It was either that or CA, or continue with the Navy bases and go to VA.
Hopefully they'll come here in the summer and then we'll go to N.C. for Leighton's 1st birthday.
