Stuck here, out of gas...

I haven't written in a while because I'm too lazy to keep a journal. However, so much has happened since my last post about the album I felt I should post something eventually.

Number one, Controlled Substance is no more. It started as a quarrel with Emily's mom over FUCK being in the lyrics to one of the songs, exploded, and turned into a disagreement about me keeping things behind everyone's back. We had a talk about it, decided it was a heavy case of miscommunication, but nothing really came of that, since Emily seems to think I have personally betrayed her or something (I'm really not sure what he problem with me is, but my friend Sam says she feels like I lied to her). So, in the end, Ping and Emily decided I wasn't fit to be in the band, and I was pretty much ejected. They reformed themselves as Lunar Implosion (and changed all my damned passwords for the band stuff >.>). I'm sure they have a MySpace and Facebook, if you want to check them out. I don't know how they're doing without me, since they won't talk to me D: But if you like Ping songs (Fade to White, Children, Backdrop, Sanctified Butterfly), they're worth following.

At any rate, that means our measly little album is free for all of you. I want to make some things louder if I can, but I'll post a link when I get them online. The music is good, and the recording quality is good, but I don't feel it was fully finished. Still, it's free now, so it doesn't really matter.

I went to RCFM, met lots of cool people, had lots of fun, and ran out of lots of money :3 My friend Nicolia got a badge from almost every vendor in the dealer's den, AND donated $900 to a charity auction. That was amazing to witness :D He got cool things out of it, though, so go him!

Saw Kung-Fu Panda with PC and some people I knew that we met at the Paradiso. Pretty good. Great fight scenes, and the most epic chop-stick battle for a dumpling you could ever hope to see. It's a family film, though, so it's a bit predictable, to PC's chagrin. Great opening animation scene, though. I was actually quite pleased with the quality of the acting(!) and animation, and squealed with delight almost every time Jack Black's belly shook uncontrollably. The credits are entertaining right to the end, and they serve to tell the rest of the story after the end of the movie. There is a short clip after the credits, so stay the whole time :D
I recommend, overall.

Made some new music with all my unexpected free-time. It's on my Fur Affinity account, if you care to listen.
By luck, a certain Zim Skunk, DJ for Clawcast, asked to interview me for his new music segment, which is great news. Makes me feel good, too. It means my music is worthy of consideration, and I was starting to worry.

Zim inspired me to clean out my FA, put scrap-worthy files in scraps, and to resurrect my dA account. In short, I've picked everything I dropped back up, short of writing. I NEED to write this summer, and not just poems and lyrics. I want to write a story. I'm just so fucking apathetic when it comes time to do it. Oh, well, we'll see what happens.

Trying to get a job now, since my band-filled summer schedule has cleared up substantially. We'll see what happens.
Oh, and I'm trying to do something for MO's to get Memphis bands cooperating together, and since the passwords for the band MySpace has been changed, I had to make my own (despite my inexplicable loathing for the site). You can check me out there if you want, but I warn I don't check my messages. I'm cool with adding friends, and all of my contacts are posted, so you can get in touch with me, if you want.

Well, that's about all I can think of for now. Love ya!

Yours,
Buck
