Ok, first of all, I don't remember you ever saying anything too stupid. Or at least, more stupid than what I was saying. That's why I loved all our "arguments" - they could get stupid and crazy but no one was mad when it was all over. Trying doing that with Joel Spector (or that Earl guy). Ummm, anyway ( ... )

Ha, the mind alterning drugs I slipped into your Appletinis worked! You and I know that I say dumb stuff all the time. Dumb as in inappropriate and too blunt. I have gotten better, but it's hard not to say or even write what I think when I get riled up. I even got into trouble on TWOP because I said that fans who love Lee/Dee just wanted Lee to be the traditionally strong man with a submissive feminine woman. I still think I'm right about that, at least in regards to some viewers, but it was dumb to vent my feminist psychoanalysis on the boards. See what I mean about saying dumb things?
Kara reminds me a lot of Joe.
I think Joe and Kara have a lot in common. I won't even go into the similarities 'cause we both know what they are. You're definitely like Lee in a lot of ways too. Hmm. And your relationship is volatileand passionate like theirs. Maybe I should ship you and Joe and give up on Kara and Lee? You're more interesting than Lee too ( ... )

Latte referred me over here and I'm glad she did, you guys are having a great discussion. Loved your analysis hushpuppy so I added you to me friends list, I hope that's O.K.
I think that Kara doesn't knoe that Lee's in love with her, and to be fair how could she, he never shows her and he's behaviour with fraking any woman who seems interested is a testament to that. At first I don't think kara loved Anders, she felt guilty that she left him behind and misinterpreted that as love, however she probably grew to love him, and why not. He doesn't seem to have any of the hang ups Lee does.
I think that Kara, being a friend to Lee, knows that he isn't in love with Dee and also that they aren't right for each other. That's probably what she was pointing out in her careless and drunk way. Also Lee reaction on k/a in this scene started to border on voyerism, you could see how much he wanted to be in Anders' place.

Hi beck1, of course you can friend me! I'll friend you right back:-)

Obviously I agree with you ! Dee isn't right for him and Lee is just continuing to avoid committing to someone by dating Dee. It's like if he dates someone that he knows isn't right for him, then he doesn't have to worry about actually being rejected. what does he intend to do with his life? Pine for Kara? There have to be more appropriate women on the fleet than Dee (who are't hookers). I don't know that Kara knew he was still dating Dee, but I'm certain that she didn't think that the relationship would have continued as long as it had for the very fact that Lee and Dee aren't anything more than frak-buddies (in my opinion).
