Posting this because this really needs to be shared.
Okay, so! At srw_unlimited, we used to have a player who went by the handle of "Deus." She, like quite a few other members, frequented 4chan, but unlike the others, exhibited many of the traits one comes to expect from members of 4chan. But not necessarily in a bad way! She was affably annoying, if that makes any sense.
Anyway, as time progressed, a meme emerged: "*bans Deus*." It would usually be said in the OoC chat during missions when Deus was being especially silly/stupid/trollish. Eventually, Deus left of her own volition -- her muses were dwindling, so rather than squat, she dropped.
Fast forward several months, to tonight. Tonight was the first of the two Grand Finale missions for the RP, and this one had the heroes taking their fight to the enemy's home world (the other one is a defense of Earth and will be run tomorrow night).
The final boss mech was named the Deus Imperator.
But that's not all! It got defeated, after being softened up by a team attack, by Simon combining Gurren-Lagann with Megas XLR and Genesic GaoGaiGar, then using a drill-augmented Goldion Crusher to reduce it to light.
In other words:
We dropped the banhammer on Deus. AND IT WAS COMPLETELY UNINTENDED.
