Getting Nervous
So my deadline for the Carter/Luka essay for ship_manifesto is December 4th. No problem. Except that I've still got at least five more episodes to watch, so I can check up on some facts, and I've only just started to write the damn thing.
One of the things that has to be included in the essay are histories of the characters. Luka's history isn't so hard, but Carter's...you'd think his would be easiest, since he's been on since day one, but that seems to make it a bit harder, at least for me. I've been watching the show and loving Carter for 11 years, and trying to compress all of that into something that would make a non-watcher of the show sit up and take interest isn't easy, mostly because we've got SO much history on Carter -- pre "ER" history and then the past 11 years.
Oh, well, the essay will get written, and maybe if it doesn't suck, it will make at least one person watch the show, or read a fic...:-)
