Dreaming
So, I wake up this morning, and realize that I've been having the most odd dream....
It started out in a thrift store, and I was looking at capes. Specifically, capes that looked medieval. Some guys came in and were looking at them, too, and it turned out that they were medieval re-enactors. The dream then jumped from the thrift store to outside -- out in the country somewhere. There was another woman with me, and the two guys (but no capes). And we were trying to make our way back to the thrift store.
So, we approach this crossroads, and the store is sitting on one corner. We go in, and instead of it being the store, it's a house. The other woman and I stretch out on the floor to watch a movie on TV and the guys wander off. Looking away from the movie, I can see outside of the house, only it's now a houseboat or something -- water nearly all around us, except that the front of the boat was butting up against land -- and a bunch of guys were there, one of which was Nolly (how I knew this, since I've never seen a detailed photo, I'll never know, but it was Nolly). The guys were all out there doing different things -- volleyball, horseshoes...just different things. And eating. There was eating and cooking going on, although I never could see what kind of food it was.
So, the woman who was watching the movie with me starts talking about how hot Nolly is, and she wants to do him. I then start to explain to her that she won't have much luck, because Nolly's with Bri, and even though they're pretty cool with their relationship, Bri won't do a woman, so she's just SOL. She's grinning from ear to ear and I look over my shoulder to find that Bri is seated in a chair behind us, reading the newspaper. Only it's a much older Bri...he just lowers the paper, grins and goes back to reading. Then Stuffy walks in, looking for something (again, I've NEVER seen a pictire of Stuffy). I was joking on the woman about letting me rattle on when Bri was sitting right there and then the dream ended.
Now, I know that sometimes there are meanings behind dreams, but I have no earthly clue as to what kind of meaning THAT dream might have had. I recently met an on-line friend (after knowing Mona for what, 4, 5 years now?) and the dream could reflect that, and the fact that I've always wanted to visit Australia. I doubt however, if Australia looks like the rural southern United States *vbg*. In the dream, I could hear the conversation from outside, but once I awoke, I couldn't recall any of it. Most likely, someday I WILL meet Nolly and Bri, and I'll hear that conversation (it's happened before)...definitely an interesting dream -- especially having Stuffy in there. I would have expected Ryan, or Pebs, or Kasey. Definitely not a smirking and chuckling Stuffy.
