Alec heard about new beginnings and clean slates, stop and smell the roses, take time to enjoy life’s treasures. Whatever bullshit they wanted to sell, Alec wasn’t buying.
There was no such thing as forgive and forget or turn the other cheek. The world was brutal and harsh. It was about what you could take.
That’s what he thought.
Until Logan smiled across the fire at him in Terminal City. There was something like longing in his eyes, maybe something more. On a night chilled with winter winds and inhospitable neighbors, it gave Alec something he’d long forgotten.
Warmth.
Hope.
