The Good and the Bad
So... I failed. Two challenges that I signed up for did not happen. I totally dropped out of the Star Trek big bang. I was really gonna try to get it done, but I ran out of time and ended up having trouble finding the voice of the characters. I haven't written any long Star Trek pieces so that shouldn't surprise me. I'm still going to keep that story on the back burner. Someday I will finish it... I will.
Secondly, I missed the deadline for the kink bingo. I knew I was gonna cut it close on this one, but with my family in town at the end of the month and school starting, along with my hubby being off work this week, I wasn't able to get anything done. I have two stories completed of the five I needed. I'm still planning on posting all five up during the next few weeks during the amnesty period. I wasn't interested in the scoring to begin with, but I do want to get the stories up. It's my Charming Verse after all.... it needs some love these days :P
Good things...
My anniversary was today. I've now been married 14 years. Sucks that I had school tonight so we couldn't really do much, but we went to lunch together today and just watched a movie. Good times. :P
I've now been to each of my classes at school and i'm starting to think I'll be okay this semester. It feels like a lot of work, but I think it's because the classes make things more evenly distributed as opposed to forcing all the major projects at the end of the semester. I"m happy about it though. My bio teacher seems pretty cool. Both my CD classes seem interesting. My Cosmology class looks like it will be pretty interesting. My professor reminds me of a cross between my hubby and Jeff Bridges (ala The Dude) :P He's very animated when he talks and I think it will be fun.
Off to try to figure out where the hell I can buy my new school books at. I know the bookstore is charging a lot so I think i'm gonna be hitting up amazon to see if I can find any there cheaper than what the book store has. *sighs* If not... I m gonna need financial aid just for the books!
