I’ve always wanted to die surrounded by the people I love, quietly, in my sleep - probably when I’m old, in some small house with a white picket fence and maybe a dog or two. Or something like that.
I never really considered how I wanted die. I used to prefer thinking about how I wanted to live.
But that’s not happening. There isn’t even anything remotely like hope that that will be the way I die.
Right now, it’s a completely different picture.
Right now…I’d want to die by a bullet to the head. Or heart. Because it’s quick, and because it’s painless. I want to die whilst I still know who I am, what I fight for, what I love.
I want to die by Dean’s hand - because Dean’s a good shot - and Dean’ll make sure it doesn’t hurt.
Because Dean's always been the only constant in my life.
And…just because I want my brother - all the family, all I’ve got left - to be the very last thing I see in this world, in this life.
