Oak Bay Tea Party

It was the Oak Bay Tea Party and we had perfect weather. :-D

Jason and Laurel came over to watch with us. Since it was the Centennial there was extra emphasis on military which made it one of the best parades yet.

Candy!

Ahh the hallowed giant shopping cart that sheers the trees and catches on powerlines

Jason was off to a friend's baby shower so Hunter, Lolo and Nana and I ventured down to the midway. I thought he might be interested in riding some of the junior rides this year but he still isn't quite ready. But once he found out how easy the games are he was very interested and I dropped $60 within about 35 minutes.

First Sno-Cone

The pink Princess hammer was traded in for a flaming sword (upgrade????) and giant Spiderman mallet this year.

He also won a fish, a dog and a neon-green monkey. I was suitably impressed that he was able to do the balloon dart game on his own and actually managed to pop two balloons (out of five tries).

We'd hoped to go back to the midway with Jason today but the skies opened up and poured rain all day. Boo.
