Supposedly it's a Harvest Moon tonight, because it is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox. The name is pretty straightforward--the moon is about 10 to 12% closer so it provides more light, allowing farmers to go on harvesting after the sun sets. It doesn't occur in October all that often, and it's fairly late in that respect. It last occurred this late on October 7, 1987.
Nineteen years from tomorrow. I'm almost nineteen. And I look back on this past year...All the upheaval, chaos, and change--good and bad.
I love the moon. Tonight might be a night for some driveway meditation. And knitting.
♥ With love.
