It really was. I haven't had a day this terrible in a good while.
I was late to work--every single red light and someone in front of me who insisted on going 10 miles an hour under the speed limit. Then I was overly micro-managed at work. Basically, I wasn't allowed to do my job. Next, I was half an hour late for my lunch, which I ended up spending fighting with multiple pumps at a gas station. Finally, I made it to the bank and back to work in one piece. Except I didn't get to eat anything for lunch. And we all know a Sophia with an empty stomach means duck and cover.
The whole week has been crap actually. Work is no longer a happy environment. If it weren't for the people I work with, it would be hell of a lot harder to cope with.
And then there are the customers. Rich-bitch California trophy wives, upwardly-mobile boys-in-business-suits, grumpy old ladies, dirty old men, vapid teenagers ("Who wrote Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet?"), the crazies...
I was helping a guy who was a complete and utter jerk to two of my coworkers and myself. He turned right around after buying his book and asked me to "autograph" it. Creep.
I need a vacation.
I need a life.
